“Life is to be lived, not endured.” (excerpted from Choosing Joy, Creating Abundance) This experiential workshop looks deeper at the issue of grief and loss and how it affects a person’s attitude toward life. When grief is repressed, it causes a person to struggle unnecessarily. In other words, grief affects our attitude toward living.
This heartwarming workshop creates a safe journey through repressed emotions. Loss in the physical world is painful. And yet it is merely a call to move a person’s life forward in a new way. After a death, we resist moving forward as we do not wish to go on without that person. Consequently it is common for a person to “shut down” or disassociate from their feelings and life experiences following a loss. Some people recover in days, months, or years following a significant loss. Others never fully recover. Participants will learn that there is no loss or separation in the spiritual world and therefore, the intensity and degree of emotional loss can be managed effectively.
This workshop uses guided meditation, visualization, writing, hypnotherapy, energy work, and group sharing to achieve course objectives. The workshop is intended for a general audience of adults who wish to move beyond the limitations of loss in the physical world and gain a higher, spiritual perspective. It is a wonderful workshop that brings tremendous comfort for anyone who struggles with transition, loss or change.
Participants will learn how to:
- Identify and explore common losses (death, loss of job, separation, divorce, etc.)
- Heal the emotions associated with loss, including chronic and clinical depression.
- Move beyond loss while establishing a healthier spiritual connection.
- Minimize the fear of loss so as to fully engage in life.
- Understand and utilize the spiritual nature of separation and loss.
- Participants will gain the emotional and spiritual tools for moving their life forward after a significant change or loss.
